An environmentalist who comes from Turkana South Sub-county, Lokichar Ward. He has a diploma in social development from the prestigious Makerere University.
He has been able to work as a governance officer at Alemun Pastrolism Empowerment Initiative (APEI) on a civic Education Programme from March, 2013. He has also worked as a community facilitator on an UNDP-Amken Wakenya Funded Programme which required him to protect Community Land Right.
From 2014 to June, 2015 he worked at Achukule Irrigation as the project Co-coordinator before joining FoLT on October, 2015 with the current position to date.
Friends of Lake Turkana (FoLT) are a grassroots organization whose mission is to foster social, economic and environmental justice in the Lake Turkana Basin. They work with various community and development partners to achieve their goals of saving the lake and community. They aim to protect the natural environment, people and wildlife that depend on it by linking environmental security. They have won the Goldman Environmental prize via Ms Ikal Angelei in 2012. She has been working to organize the indigenous communities around Lake Turkana to stop the massive Gibe III Dam in Ethiopia, which would essentially cut off the main water supply of Lake Turkana and devastate the environment and the communities who depend on the lake for their survival.
